My Bio
My name is Janaye Melsha. I’m a graphic designer and a self-taught photographer with a degree in graphic design. I was raised in a little place called Mount Dora in beautiful central Florida. In March 2011 I moved to the wonderful state of Texas and now call Cedar Park (near Austin) my home.

I believe photography should be more than just pretty pictures – it should tell a story. That story could be just you, your family, an event or a milestone. My job as your photographer is to capture those moments that tell the most important story of all: your story.

I also believe that design is more than just a pretty piece of paper or a shiny site – it should communicate. What you need is a design that tells your customers what you’re about, what your product is about, and why they should buy your product or go with your cause. I’m here to help you create innovative and creative designs for print and web that will catch someone and make them your customer for life!
I've been updating my portfolio/gallery! YAY! :w00t!: Mostly I've been working on updating my photography. Most of my designs that I've done I don't have products for them yet so I will have to buy some or get the vendors to just give me some. I'm hoping to get at least few more of them so I can get them in my portfolio when I update it in a few months. :) But the one I did do, the Wishberry Blossom, came out very nice. I just wish the foil had shown that it was foil and not printed. Oh well. :) Still looks good. I've posted a lot of cat photos of my cat, Sara. It's just hard NOT to post her. She's so photogenic! And so I've been going back

Wow... I didn't realize it had been so long since I was here on DA. Insane. o.O Well, to make things short, I've since moved to Austin, TX and gotten myself a job at a label printer. Right now it's only part time but that leaves me plenty of time to do freelance on the side. :) Since working at Hart Label I've made several label designs. Course most of them are not designs I personally would haved liked but each client has their own vision and I'm just here to create and bring their visions to life. I can make my own at another time. ;) Anyway, I will eventually be posting some of these labels. I'm just waiting for the products to come in s

Today I posted my one Edward sketch I've been working on. I've also done another couple of drawings I've done but none are good except one character face. Ironically I got the hair idea from when I was straightening my hair. Lol. So I love the design, but I can't seem to replicate it again. >< :dies: So on top of now being able to replicate my character I also can't draw bodies... I've never been able to do bodies, at least not with out a reference. I've tried doing the skeleton thing but it just pisses me off as my proportions are still always so wrong. I also can't draw faces small. The proportions get messed up then too. UGH! But, practic
