To make a long story short, I'm stuck in FL until mid-March and have LOTS of time. My husband got a job in Texas and until we close on our house in Mid-March, I have to stay in FL with our 8 cats. Needless to say, I'm bored with all my time. So I started entertaining myself with shows on Netflix. First it was just stuff on TV and then... the Anime.
I shouldn't have watched Anime... Now I'm back into my fantasy world wishing I could be with those characters and have them as real friends. XD Oi. My current anime obsession... FullMetal Alchemist. I started watching it on Cartoon Network a while ago but didn't usually stay up late enough nights to watch the whole series. Now, I have more than enough time and I found it on Netflix. I watched the series in about 3 days and I couldn't get enough. Then I found out there was another one, FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood. It's not a spin off but the story re-written to follow the Manga for which it was started from.
Now, call me crazy or make fun of me but I watch the Dub versions of Anime, unless I feel they suck and then I'll watch the Sub versions. But normally Subs give me a headache and I get confused from missing either something visual or something in the text. So I cave and watch the Dub. I know... Bad me... But as I watched Brotherhood and read parts of the Manga (in english), they actually matched almost word for word so I feel the Dub is good enough. Unfortunately the dubs stop at 39 right now. The 4th DVD will be out at the end of this month and then I can finish watching.
In the meantime I can watch the movie which is based off the first FMA and the fun little OVA's that I bought. Hopefully for my birthday I'll get some of the DVDs of Brotherhood or the first series.
But now that I'm in the anime craze I've gotten back into drawing. I'm so bad at it. >< I've never really been good, but now that I haven't done anything in years, I'm exceptionally bad. I'm not too bad with faces and even hair, but bodies... not happening. But alas, practice makes perfect. Unfortunately one of the best ways for me to learn is to copy. So if I post something and it is a copy I'll make sure to put a note in.
Anyway, I hope to be able to create some of my own artworks in the near future after I get back into t he swing of things. Hopefully you'll see that stuff soon.
But for now enjoy the latest pics from a wedding that I've done for my friends Campbell and Rae. Enjoy!

Portfolio Updating
I've been updating my portfolio/gallery! YAY! :w00t!:
Mostly I've been working on updating my photography. Most of my designs that I've done I don't have products for them yet so I will have to buy some or get the vendors to just give me some. I'm hoping to get at least few more of them so I can get them in my portfolio when I update it in a few months. :) But the one I did do, the Wishberry Blossom, came out very nice. I just wish the foil had shown that it was foil and not printed. Oh well. :) Still looks good.
I've posted a lot of cat photos of my cat, Sara. It's just hard NOT to post her. She's so photogenic! And so I've been going back
Definitely Too Long...
Wow... I didn't realize it had been so long since I was here on DA. Insane. o.O
Well, to make things short, I've since moved to Austin, TX and gotten myself a job at a label printer. Right now it's only part time but that leaves me plenty of time to do freelance on the side. :)
Since working at Hart Label I've made several label designs. Course most of them are not designs I personally would haved liked but each client has their own vision and I'm just here to create and bring their visions to life. I can make my own at another time. ;) Anyway, I will eventually be posting some of these labels. I'm just waiting for the products to come in s
Drawings Emerge!
Today I posted my one Edward sketch I've been working on. I've also done another couple of drawings I've done but none are good except one character face. Ironically I got the hair idea from when I was straightening my hair. Lol. So I love the design, but I can't seem to replicate it again. >< :dies:
So on top of now being able to replicate my character I also can't draw bodies... I've never been able to do bodies, at least not with out a reference. I've tried doing the skeleton thing but it just pisses me off as my proportions are still always so wrong. I also can't draw faces small. The proportions get messed up then too. UGH! But, practic
THANK YOU!!!
Wow! After I haven't checked DA for over a week I come back to my inbox flooded with comments and favs for my Tree Decorator! :D I honestly didn't think it was that impressive and intend to make it better but apparently I was wrong! It received a Daily Deviation! My first in the many years I've been on DA! :wow: I'm just so shocked! :D I can't express how happy it made me feel to realize it got a DD. But my Tree Decorator is only in Version 1 of many to come so comments, suggestions, etc are welcomed. :)
Known things to fix and updates for Version 2:
* Transparency on snowflake, lights, and bows need to be in the hit area.
* Slight pixelat
